Wine (2015)

Red Wine

Silver Ghost Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 13 %
Description A medium-bodied, fruit-driven style of Cabernet that offers rounded, ripe red berry fruit with a plummy and easy-going feel. Hints of green pepper and subtle oak notes on the nose.
Location Chile
Type Cabernet Sauvignon
Notes Cabernet Sauvignon is the most widely planted grape in Chile, and was among the first of the noble varieties to have been brought over from Europe in the mid-1800's. This example is made by one of the Central Valley's major wineries, based in Cachapoal.

Rosé Wine

Pied Tanqué Rosé 11 %
Description A pale and delicate rosé, offering a straightforward nose of ripe red berry aromas and a light, gently off-dry palate that is rounded and soft in texture.
Location France
Type Cinsault, Carignan
Notes This rosé is made from grapes sourced from the Hérault region of the Languedoc. It is similar in style to many of the light and delicate rosés from the more famous, premium regions across the south of France.

Sparkling Wine

Soffio No.3 Prosecco NV 11 %
Description Apple and pear flavours predominate, while subtle notes of freshly cut flowers lift the nose. Soft mousse and gently ripe fruit makes for an easy-drinking style.
Location Italy
Type Prosecco
Notes A Prosecco made by the Pizzolo family, one of the north of Italy's archetypal family businesses, run by four brothers from a facility close to Lake Garda. This wine is made using the Charmat method, in which it is rendered sparkling prior to bottling.
Soffio No.3 Rosé NV 11 %
Description A gentle rose colour with salmon pink hues. The nose is gently floral, with hints of cherry blossom intermingling with fresh summer fruits. Gently fruity and approachably off-dry.
Location Italy
Type Raboso
Notes Raboso is effectively the red 'sister grape' of Prosecco, extensively used for making a similarly light and fruity rosé version of northern Italy's signature sparkling wine, and is grown throughout the Veneto region.

White Wine

Garganega Pinot Grigio 2013 Albinoni 12 %
Description Light in colour, refreshing, and crisp and with aromas of limes, grapefruits and lemons making this well balanced wine very easy to drink
Location Italy
Type Pinot Grigio/Gris, Garganega
Notes Garganega is the most important variety of white wine grape grown in the provinces of Verona and Vicenza in the Veneto region. Pinot Grigio is grown in the same area where the climate is influenced by the Alps.
Santa Rita 120 Sauvignon Blanc 2014 13.5 %
Description Crisp and refreshing, this wine offers an abundance of grapefruit and lemon fruit flavours, delivered in a softer, more tropical fruit texture.
Location Chile
Type Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon
Notes Santa Rita's 120 range places the emphasis firmly on lively, up-front fruit flavours. Maximum fruit character is obtained by hand-harvesting and cold fermentation of the Sauvignon grapes, and the addition of 2% Semillon helps keep the blend well-rounded.
