Facts and Figures
Donations to Charity
The Charity Box contained £2128.63 in unused tokens donated by our kindhearted customers. Because of the all the hard work given by our unpaid volunteers, the Festival made a modest net surplus, and therefore the total amount to be donated will be £2255.08
The total will then be divided between the 2008 Festival's charities: The County Air Ambulance. Charity No. 1001064; Motor Neurone Disease Association. Charity No. 294354; and St Richard's Hospice. Charity No. 515668.
New & Old Members of CAMRA
91 new members were signed up, of which 40 were local to the Worcester Branch area and 15 were "youngsters" under 26.
A total of 736 existing members of CAMRA visited the festival and signed-in.
The winner of our "Suggest-a-Beer" competition was John Davies from Malvern.
The winner of our "Taste All the Ciders and Perry" competition was Ben Hastilow from Worcester - and he duly undertook this arduous task on the afternoon of Thursday 14th August.
Don Parker from Worcester won a polypin of Bewdley Brewery Old School Bitter from the "Win a Barrel of Beer" competition run by the Worcester News.
Rachel Henley from Worcester won bottles of Cider and Perry from the competition run by the Worcester News.
