Charities

Each year Worcester Beer, Cider and Perry festival supports a number of charities. We encourage our visitors to donate their part used strike cards at the end of the festival.

Midlands Air Ambulance

Midlands Air Ambulance

Midlands Air Ambulance is the charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving the communities of six Midlands counties: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. This constitutes the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK.

Since 1991, the charity has responded to more than 43,000 missions averaging 2,000 per year, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK.

Severn Freewheelers

 

Severn Freewheelers

Severn Freewheelers is a group of advanced motorcyclists providing a free out-of-hours courier service for hospitals in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, North Wiltshire and Herefordshire.  We carry whole blood, pathology samples, patient scans / x-rays, human milk - in fact any medical essentials between hospitals in the area.

Severn Freewheelers is a charity organisation (Charity No: 1120999) and we are always looking for help. If you feel that you would like to volunteer to either ride, dispatch or help with fundraising then please see our volunteering page for more details.

Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust

Acorns Children’s Hospice TrustEstablished in 1988 Acorns provide care for babies, children and young people from 0-18 with life limiting or life threatening conditions and support for their families. In the last year they have supported over 800 children and more than 1,030 families, including those who are bereaved across Birmingham, Coventry & Warwickshire, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire regions.
